I am very happy tonight because of a exciting call from one of my true friends. She, a mother of two girls now, was one of the classmates when we were in high school. She is my best friend in my life though now she is working as a mathematic teacher in a very remote county where is far away from our hometown and full of Muslim people. After we left university, we have met each other twice: one was on my wedding ceremony in 2004, and another time wasin the spring festival this year. It was so difficult to meet her this time because she was not able toleave home after delivery. At last Imade a successful phone call toher house. Although thetalk with her was veryshort, wewere quite happy. We are true friends because we were in a boat before when we studied. We are always honest for each other. So I think true friend should be honest and give moreand gain less from the counterpart.

It is getting warmer and warmerin recent days in Nanjing. With the warmer weather drawing near, the mood of people is also becoming better, oh, it is only my guess. In the spring, trees begin to grow new leaves gradually and some of the flowers start to show their beauty to human. But the spring in Nanjing is shorter thanthat in other plarts ofChina. Hereabouthalfyear is in the season of summer. The spring and fall always run away from us quickly. So the people here have to prepare many T-shirts for hot summer. It is so ordinary that you have to change 2-3 T-shirtsa day in summer. Therefore as for me, I am afraid of too hot summerbecause I was born in the northwest of China whereit has a very distinguishedseasons. It is important that the summer in my hometown is not so hot and the climate is dry and atmosphere pressure is much lower. So I have already adapted to the climate there andam not accustomed to suchextreme climate. I really hope this summer will be a cooler one in Nanjing.

It is a surprising day today since one of my former classmates who took a test for the entrance examination ofPhd. in Nanjing Agricultural University came to my university and had a lunch with me. We talked a lot about other classmates in my former class. Some of them have already worked for many years and others are still studying for gain further degree. But they are very good now. it is more important for me that I contacted my husband finally today since he went out for work and I could not find him due to the lacking money for his mobile phone.

In recent days, I am very busy with the activityproposed byGraduate Institute in our college. The theme of activity is to reflect the call from the World Metrological Organization. As a base to educate the advancedtalents for the wholenation, our university has the duty to do well the publicizing work in society. The topic of “World Metrological Day” this year is ‘Polar Metrology: to recognize the internal effect from the polar’. To prepare for the activity, all members of Graduate Institute worked very hard to make the preparation, somebought the necessarythingslike stationaries, others search for metrological knowledgein libraryin order to make the bullitin. On March 22nd, we had a very interesting commemorating activity in the front of refectory, with many students taking part in this activity. Although the work is veryhard, we could learn much knowledge from the personal experience. Yes, due to many human activities, the change from climate in recent 10 years has been threatened the production and lives of human beings. People must or should be aware ofdanger from this change like the decrease of O3, Greenhouse Gases, acid rain.

I am very tired today. I helped to prepare the activity for the World Metrological Day. But I don'tfeelvery well. In fact, I should keep a good moodto do this, forit is a kind of practice for me to do something beyond knowledge learnt from the books. However, I am not veryhappy about today’s affair becauseone classmate told a lie to me during the prepartion. I replaced her to complete a work which should be done by her this afternoon. But she told me a lie to do other things for her.

This weekend has been a happy one. On Saturday, after breakfast, my husband insisted on taking our son to see the wildanimals in “the red hill zoo”. But I hesitated to go there, for I was afraid of raining as the forecasting says on line. At last, Ifellow them to the zoo with thedrinkings and lunch box in the backbag. We took subway to the zoo, ittook about 20 min to go there.
Our travel was slow and free when we were in the zoo. In the whole walk, though there are some slopes, we all didn’t feel tired. Absolutely our son was the happiest one in the entire travel. When we passed Children Playing Ground, he stopped to watchothersplaying. Since he is very little, we couldn’t let him play by himself. So there westayed longer time than that of in other places. It isvery luckythat it was cloudy that daywithout raining. So I feel much appreciated with the heaven, which lets us have another opportunity tocome to nature and open my son’ vision about abstract nature.

John. Kennide, a former president of America, delivered address about president’ special document of protecting consumers’ right on Congress on March 15, 1962. He first brought out the famous four rights for consumers: right to get safe ensure, right to require exact date, right to decide freely, right to give consumption opinion. Later Kennide’s ideas were recognized gradually by the consumption organization in the world and considered them as the primary working target.
In 1983, International Consumers’ Uniontook 15th of March as “International Consumers’ Right Day”-----TO PROPAGANDIZE AND PROMPT CONSUMERS’ RIGHT OF PROTECTION . “Interaction between people, products and technology exchange, and communication activities demand us tothink for the entire world. When this struggle will continue every day, we choose one day of each year making our voice for consumers heard in all fields. That is the sprite dynamic to endeavor for future duties”, the president of international consumers’ union organization, Pajin, said.

Itis a raining day in Nanjing today. Here once it starts torain,it will generally last several days. Sometimes I hate raining. And the wind always brings about rain that makes people difficult to walk. In the spring of this year, the abnormal weather is seemingly colder than the winter of last year. So now many people still have to wear the thick clothes.
In fact, in recent years this abnormal weather often exists at a high frequency all over the world. The experts on Metrology say human beings’ activities contribute to the deterioration ofsuch weather condition largely. Since the Industrial Revolution began, human beings started to ruinthe nature little by little. First, the multiply of natural resources, especially those irreproducible resources, were exploited intemperately to make the industrial products. When nature brings the natural disasterto human being, thenthey willrealize thatwhat they have doneis wrong. So many kinds of protection activities were takenin all fields. This “pollute first, control second” road is walked by many of developed countries. In China, the size of land is larger, but the natural resources areless than other countries in the world. So the policy of sustainable development has to be carried out. Everyone must take action to protect our home for our next generation.

Itis the third week of new semester. I amnot sure whatI shall I for my future researching direction. Now I am completly empty in my mind on what I will do in the future. Because I have to face the fact that it is quite hard to find a jobwhere I will like to stay and do my job. Frommy vague vision, I want to learn Atmosphere Science or Metrology---they are the fashion science at present and have a good perspective. But I find the knowledge of Math Model is pretty difficult. Perhaps the reason is that I have not studied them before. However I believe I will study them well if I will be willing to study them.

After breakfast, I went out to buy a pair of cotton pants for my son because I will take him to my hometown in a few days, I am afraid that he will not be accustomed to the local climate there, so I have to make a good prepartation for the resistence agaist the cold and dry weather. Now he already went to bed, he will wake up in early morning. Therefore I have to go to bed earlier, or else I will be too sleepy to take care of him.

I was very busy with washing clothes including a pair of shoes from my husband. So I am very tired now, but I have to take care of the baby, it is now already 11 o'clock, my son is still full of energy like a lovely and happy rabbit. After delivering him, I always felt that Iam sleepy. I think I am getting older than before, I have no time to think of myself. He took my much private time and also occupied all of my mind. Perhaps that is the difference between an innocent girl and a great mom. How fast the time goes! I have been a mother for a long time. I now have to change my position from a girl concerned by my family to a woman thinking of a family. I feel very tired to raise a baby. I think such feeling does not only exist on our family but in every family. maybe this is why there are many people who choose to have no children.

My son is still very happy but he did not like to eat dinner instead of drinking milk. Except that, another thing has beentroubling me for days. My father asked me to send him a pair of old shoes through mail three days ago. Suddenly I feel very upset for myself. I have no money to buy a new one for him because I have no job. I am very guilty about it.

About 10:30, I took my son out to take a stroll. But I feel very gloomy today about the quality of atmosphere in this city. The pollutants are always full of the whole lower sky. Sometimes the emission from the vehicle makes us breath in difficulty. So people have to take a mask on their mouthes and noses in order to keep off pollutants. I think the pollution from cars are becoming very serious, and I feel less and less sense of security living in big cities. The pollutants are threatening our health at an unexpected speed. As an environmentalist, I am worrying about such sitution. However, I personally realize my power is too weak to change thesurroundings.

It is the second day for me to take care of the baby alone. Due to lack of sleeping, I felt very tired and sleepy in the early morning. My husband went to work, so I had to take care of my baby. After breakfast, I reluctantly finished washing while my baby played with his cars alone. About 11:30, we went out to stroll in the street. He wasn't willing come back home even it was already 12 o'clock. When we returned home, we had to cook. After lunch, my son still did not want to take a nap because he was full of energy. I hope he can be sleepy as soon as possible because I also want to take a nap. A busy day.

Early in the morning, my husband helped my mother-in-law to go to the airport because she would go back home by flight. Later he went back to his office to work, so I played with my son all day long, he was very happy since I was around him. About 11:00, I took our baby to the hospital because one of his toes were acking. After examination, the doctor said it was nothing, just infection without significent reason, and finally he subscribed some medicine, I was not sure whether it would take effect, but I hope my son would soon recover.

Hi, everyone. I finished my exams in the morning at last. I am very happy becasue I may go home in the afternoon. But I still let myself to be lazy and have nothing to do in the winter holiday. I am going to read some books about my future study and how to operate MATLAB, of course English will be put aside. Another thing is that the Spring Festival is coming. All of the Chinese are preparing for it, and those people living far from their hometown in particular are doing their best to book the return tickets. Because the union in the Spring Festival is an traditional custom in China, so in general every person, except for those who are engaging in special work, eagerly come back to his /her hometown to get together with family members and relatives. However, if you can not unify with your family, you need not to upset yourself. Maybe you are working on a type of great work which will give you honor, or you will have to deal with a matter important

Nothing happened today. I am happy with my decision that I will stay with my son in the winter holiday. In the morning, I spent little time to listen to the special English of VOA online as usual. After lunch, I found some information about borrowing the books from the library. About 2:30, I went to library and borrowed them. My cell phone was ringing while I was looking for books. It was my teacher who asked me to do her a favor- --to replace her for monitoring test with another teacher at 2:00 pm on January 18. So I have to give a positive answer to her.
